Experiences and Conclusions

Student use has so far been small, and almost only with the arithmetic mode

• other modes became available in August 2016

Both encouraging and discouraging student feedback

• writing mathematics on a keyboard has been problematic for newcomers
• students report ”does not work“ when the truth is ”I did not try“
• perhaps half found it useful

Terhi Kaarakka is currently running a significant arithmetic mode experiment

On my course, e.g., `K[0] != K[1] != K[M]``!= K[0]` worked as I intended
