Inverse Days 2014
The Inverse Days is back once again, and this time its bigger than ever; This will be the 20th time the conference is held. The first time was back in 1995 in Oulu. The event has since grown and become international, but still the spirit has remained the same; Inverse days is definitely the most interesting but also the most relaxed conference of the year!
This year the conference will be organized by the Inverse Problems research group of the Department of Mathematics of Tampere University of Technology, and the event will be set in the beautiful city of Tampere.
The conference starts on Tuesday 9th of December and ends on the next Thursday, 11th of December. Some details of the schedule are already online, so you can start to make your travel plans. We encourage you to reserve Friday 12th for your return travel, so you can participate on all of the events, including the evening program on Thursday. The registration will open in September, as will abstract submission.
Inverse days 2.0
As stated above, this will be the 20th incarnation of the Inverse days. That is an impressive milestone for the event, and it is also an opportunity to review the history of the Inverse problems society, but furthermore, it is the perfect time for the conference to evolve into something even better. Rather than calling this the 20th Inverse Days, we would like to think of it as the first Inverse Days 2.0.
In practice, this means that this time the venue is the urban city centre of Tampere. The event will be hosted in Tampere-talo, which is the largest congress and concert centre in Scandinavia. For the social program, some of the most beautiful locations in Tampere were chosen. More on the venue can be found in corresponding section.
